Performance Location

We have chosen to rent out morton village hall for the location of our promo. We are renting it for 6 hours from 4pm to 10pm. This gives us enough time to set up the lighting, drum kit and speakers so we can then film the band performing.

The village hall used to hold live gigs as it has enough space for bands to perform and a large number of people to watch. In Archives have previously played in morton village hall and they agree that this will be a good location for the promo.

The hall gives us access to electricity, which we need for the lighting system we will be using. We have bought 4 large halogen industrial lights; two of them will be on stands behind the band and the other two will be on the floor. These two positions of the lighting will look effective and professional as the band perform. Renting out the hall means we don’t have to worry about lighting if we were to perform outdoors as you cannot guarantee what the weather will be like.

The spacing on the floor is big enough to fit all the equipment and then have the band members perform. The floor is also smooth which is essential as we are using a dolly, supplied by the school, to film some of the band shots.
